SSTB member Sharon Englisch will lead a group up to 7 people plus herself on a walk of easy difficulty. The group will walk through Brookside Gardens. We will walk at a moderate pace. We will have about 1.5 hours to walk before dark.

Brookside Gardens closes at dusk and reopens at 5:30 pm for paying customers to the light show. The bonus for walkers later in the afternoon is they often turn the lights on ahead of time and they look pretty as the sun goes down.  Hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to see the lights come on!

Friday December 3, 2021. We will meet at 2:45 pm for a walk start at 3:00. (Rain date is December 10, same time.)

We will gather at the Visitors Center in Brookside Gardens Parking is available.

• There are bathrooms and drinking fountains inside the Visitors’ Center

• Correctly worn masks will be required for all participants during the entire walk as well as appropriate distancing, as per Montgomery County requirements.

• Reservations are required and walkers will be notified of any changes due to weather.

• This walk is people only, no pets.

The Silver Spring TimeBank hopes to continue walks every six weeks or so, and at different times on different days, depending on interest. 

Being outside will allow us to socialize in person!
