The Silver Spring Timebank encourages community businesses and nonprofits to join as organizational members. By sharing our local resources and the skills and assets of our community members, we can build a more connected community, one hour at a time.
By using the SSTB, organizations can:
Offer existing organizational volunteers membership in the Timebank to earn hours for their service and receive needed Timebank services
Access a diverse group of potential new volunteers who earn Timebank hours for helping your organization
Allow their consumers to offer and receive services, fostering inclusiveness and building community
Staff can become members and benefit from exchanging services
The organization may save money, strengthen community connections and reduce its overall workload
Possible ways the SSTB membership can help organizations:
Provide transportation
Create promotional materials
Help maintain facilities
Organize and facilitate an event
Network with other organizations
Possible ways your organization can help the Timebank:
Marketing shout-outs for the Timebank
In-kind support
Printing
Space usage
Partnering to organize and facilitate sharing events
