Are you in the timebank -- or just interested in learning more about it? Come get acquainted with timebank members and BAKE* something too!
(* = Baking encouraged but not required.)
Sometimes getting to know others is easier when there's an *activity* involved! Learn how to make Vegan Treats, get your timebank questions answered, find someone to do an exchange with, and meet new friends!
Timebank member Tori Bourret will be your host. From her kitchen, she will walk participants through baking Vegan Apricot Squares and facilitate a discussion about timebanking in Silver Spring and other topics.
Bake along with Tori from your own kitchen, or join us (from anywhere else) for a couple of hours of fun and community. (Ingredients List, below. A different fruit jam may be substituted.)
If you can't attend the entire two hours, don't let that stop you. We hope you'll join us -- for part or all!

Ingredients for Vegan Apricot (or other fruit jam) Squares:
3/4 cup VEGAN butter (can be found in most grocery stores)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/3 cups sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 jar (10-12 oz.) apricot preserves
