Did you know there is a timebank in Fairbanks, Alaska? There's a timebank in Jakarta, Indonesia, too. And in Vane, Ghana! Also right nextdoor in Greenbelt, Maryland. You may be able to do exchanges with people in those timebanks (and many more), thanks to our timebanking platform hOurworld.org.  

Come to our April Virtual Social to learn more about exchanging services with people in timebanks near and far. The option to do exchanges with people in timebanks that are not your own is known as Inter-trading. Building on International Timebanking Day in March, our Virtual Social in April will focus on Inter-trading. 

Timebank members Daisy Birch and Laura Kranis will host this social via Zoom. Join us to ask your questions about Inter-trading, learn how to use the Inter-trading feature to view non-local Offers and Requests, or post your own. We'll even help match you with someone in another region or continent to learn about peoples and cultures beyond Silver Spring, to learn a new language, to work together with people around the world to identify needs and fill those needs, or just to find someone in Ohio to bring you from the airport to your hotel.
