Creative Re-use, to help the planet and your wallet

Silver Spring Timebank Virtual Social with host Tanya DeKona

3p.m. to 5, Sunday,

Free and open to all

Creative Re-use means giving an object, or parts of it, a new life, with a new purpose. This extends the life of objects, eases the burden on the planet, and saves you money.

For instance, what to do with that tired-looking area rug that no one wants to take off your hands?

Creative re-use:

*Place it under one of your good rugs to make it oh so soft underfoot.

*Roll it up and shape it into a ring with a pillow in the middle for a new bed for your dog.

*Cut pieces of it to keep in your car trunk. On a snowy day, wedge them in front of your tires for a little extra traction.

Every object has many possibilities, and every act of conservation matters!

If you have an item that needs a new life, bring it to our Zoom Social! By brainstorming together, we'll come up with lots of ideas. Plus, it's fun!

After registering here, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the meeting.
