Join Time Bankers on Saturday November 26, 2022, for a walk in Wheaton Regional Park and Brookside Gardens. Charlotte Cook will lead this walk of approximately 2.7 miles. We will gather at 10:15 am to begin walking at 10:30. The walk will all be on paved trails. The trail is not always flat, there are a few small hills.

Use the entrance to the Park at 2000 Shorefield Road, Wheaton, MD. The entrance to the Park is just under ½ mile from Georgia Avenue. Three WMATA buses stop at Shorefield and Georgia (Y2, Y7 and Y8). These are accessible at the Wheaton Metro. Shorefield Road is about 1 mile north on Georgia Avenue from the Metro. There is a parking lot inside the entrance of the Park.

When you enter the parking lot you will go around the circle to your left. We will meet at the pavilion closest to the driveway on your right. There are bathrooms on site at the start of the walk. We will also be near restrooms inside Brookside Gardens.

Bring water. There are no drinking fountains at the start of the walk but there are in the Visitors’ Center inside Brookside Gardens. You might want to have a mask if you choose to enter any building inside Brookside Gardens. Dress for the weather.

We will limit the walk to 8 people, no pets. Reservations are required and walkers will be notified of any changes due to weather. RSVP to timebankevents@sstimebank.org or to ask questions.

There are side trails in Wheaton Regional as well as in Brookside Nature Center that you may choose to explore once we finish. These other trails are not all paved.
